Advertising ~ The Successful Mediums

Click on the title above for the video promo I did for KVEW. . .I did the spot for them because television advertising has proven to be very successful.

I am constantly asked why I am not focusing my advertisement efforts on print advertisement. A very good question and for those of you who know me. . .Know that I have an answer coupled with a strong opinion. I always keep an open mind and explore new mediums to push our listings. . .But, I want to be able to track our results. I figured out a tracking system and based on the results determines where Preferred Properties will focus their efforts on successful marketing with a high visibility for our listings.

In the past, I have advertised heavily in the Walla Walla Union Bulletin, Lifestyles Magazine and other full glossy magazines like Luxury Home Magazine. . . .What I have discovered is that online marketing is the only way to go. I have branched out into television marketing as well because of the positive feedback and results. What it costs me for one Sunday Ad that may reach 5,000 readers is what it costs for one month of television advertising. . .A commercial that runs 80 times a month and hits a much larger audience.
A great article about Online Advertising vs. Print

I am curious to hear your thoughts and comments. . .Do you look online first? Have you ever made a decision based off of a commercial you have seen on television? Do you read the local newspaper and look at the Real Estate section? Coldwell Banker First Realtors, Windermere Walla Walla, John L. Scott and LWB are local companies that spend tens of thousands of dollars on large Sunday ads. . .What I have discovered is the ads have run over the past year feature a lot of the same properties. . .So if print advertisement was successful. . .Wouldn't these homes be sold?
